Eucharistic Adoration

Schedule

The adoring of our Lord in the Most Holy Eucharist is an important part of the identity of a disciple. We must spend time with Jesus to be His disciples, and Eucharistic Adoration is a great opportunity to do so. Saint Mark offers a number of different times for adoration:

  • Sundays  |  9:15-10:15am

  • Thursdays  |  3-9pm

  • First Fridays | 7am-12pm

  • First Saturdays | 8-8:45am

To continue to grow and offer more opportunities for adoration at Saint Mark the Evangelist, people are encouraged to sign up for adoration on Thursdays. Two adorers must be registered for every hour, and more adorers and help is always welcome! Please prayerfully consider a weekly hour that can be committed to.

What is Eucharistic Adoration?

Eucharistic Adoration is the worship of the Holy Eucharist outside the Mass. Jesus, truly present in the Holy Eucharist, is placed into a monstrance upon the altar for all to worship, spend time with, and pray to. When we are in Adoration, we are truly in the presence of Jesus. There are many ways that we can show our love and adoration to Jesus, but in Eucharistic Adoration, we are truly spending our time adoring the true, physical presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. St. Paul in 2 Corinthians 3:18 writes, “All of us, gazing with unveiled face on the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory.” It is in Eucharistic Adoration, that we have a beautiful opportunity to gaze upon the “glory of the Lord”, over time becoming more and more like Him.
